2024 State 4-H Horticulture Judging Contest

What: The 4-H Horticulture Judging Contest help members grow in their ability to think, to reason, and to make logical and scientific judgments, through plant identification, knowledge testing and judging classes. Our contest is hosted by the Department of Horticulture, Forestry and Natural Resources.

When: Saturday, August 16, 2025

Where: Manhattan, Kansas

Cost: Cost per person will be set in the spring of 2025. Registration information will be sent to local offices in late June, 2025.

Intermediates must be 9 thru 13 before January 1 of the current year. Seniors must be 14 thru 18 before January 1 of the current year.

9:30 a.m. Registration - Lobby of Throckmorton (come in SE doors of building)

10:00 a.m. - Orientation – Throckmorton 1018

Contest instructions and locations at the conclusion the contest begins

Break for lunch, campus tours on your own, or K-State souvenir shopping.

2:00 p.m. Awards - Throckmorton 1018
